Argentine oil and gas company Pan American Energy (PEA) and its partner 3GAL have concluded the construction of the Parque Eólico Garayalde wind farm in the southern province of Chubut, marking PEA’s debut in the country’s renewables sector and taking Argentina’s wind base to the 600MW mark.

According to power regulator and grid operator Cammesa, the 24MW Garayalde started tests in September and energy minister Javier Iguacel confirmed the plant’s start up via social media.
