Danish offshore wind champion Orsted has completed the divestment of 50% of the 1.2GW Hornsea 1 to infrastructure fund Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP).

The company had earlier said it was selling the stake together with a commitment to fund half of the payments under the EPC contract of the entire wind farm for £4.46bn ($5.68bn).

The completion of the divestment does not change Orsted’s previous financial guidance for the fiscal year of 2018 (Ebitda of DKr13-14bn) or its announced expected investment level for this year (DKr16-18bn).
