Developer Juhl Energy has selected GE Renewable Energy to supply technology for what it claims will be the first commercial integrated solar-wind hybrid power generation project in the US.
The project, which will be operational by year-end, will employ one GE 2.0-116 wind turbine supported by 0.5MW of PV solar to provide low-cost, locally generated clean energy to the Lake Region Electric Cooperative in Minnesota.
