Danish wind turbine producer Vestas has secured an order from CPC Germania to supply 12 of its V150-4.2 turbines to the 50MW Lakiakangas II wind project in Finland.

The project in Isojoki in the Southern Ostrobothnia region is part of a small but growing number of onshore wind projects being built without state support amid rising power prices.

CPC Germany says it has already signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with an unnamed third party that enables the wind park to be financed without subsidies.
