Vestas looks set to win a significant chunk of turbins orders from the 1GW renewables build-out being undertaken by Canada’s Algonquin Power & Utilities to take advantage of the reducing US federal tax credits.
Algonquin is developing a number of US wind projects through its unregulated generation arm Liberty Power, in addition to the projects it plans to build for its Missouri-based regulated utility, Empire District.
