GE Renewable Energy and Vestas dominated the US turbine manufacturer market of 1.64GW wind power capacity installed in the first three quarters of this year – and more of the same is expected over the next several years, according to latest American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) figures.

The two OEMs together captured 90% of the US market – GE 63% and Vestas 26% – through 30 September, with Goldwind of China taking 10% and 1% going to unnamed vendors.
