Spanish group Iberdrola said it will move ahead with the 476MW Baltic Eagle and 10MW Wikinger Sud projects to form the largest offshore wind complex in the Baltic Sea, as it cut the ribbon on its €1.4bn ($1.64bn) Wikinger development.

Wikinger project director Estanislao Rey-Baltar told Recharge the company expects to use an 8MW-8.5MW turbine for the Baltic Eagle project and will select a supplier “within the next few weeks”.
