Vestas unveiled plans for nacelle production for its V150-4.2 MW machine in the Brazilian state of Ceará, as moves by OEMs to offer larger turbines gathers pace in the key South America market.
The Danish manufacturer signed an outline agreement with state officials over an investment that would total about €23m ($26.1m) and create 1,000 jobs, 200 of them direct roles.
