Cumulative offshore wind capacity in Asia Pacific (APAC) will grow 20-fold to 43GW in the next decade, up from just over 2GW last year, according to new research by Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables.

China will take the lead with 31GW installed offshore by 2027, contributing 72% of the APAC market. Taiwan will put up 8.7GW, accounting for 20%, the analyst firm estimates.
