Major onshore wind operators and OEMs have stepped up their pressure on the UK government to let the generation source back into the renewables auctions process as a route to market for subsidy-free projects.
Fourteen sector players wrote to UK energy secretary Greg Clark urging him to allow onshore projects to compete in the next round of contract-for-difference (CfD) tenders, scheduled for spring 2019.
