EDF Renewables North America has reached a build-own-transfer (BOT) agreement with Ameren Missouri, a largely coal- and nuclear-reliant midwestern utility, that will allow construction of the 157MW Brickyard Hill wind farm there.

The companies did not make financial terms public for the transaction. The facility will enter commercial operation in 2020, producing electric power for an estimated 47,000 homes.

The agreement is subject to conditions precedent, including approval from the Missouri Public Service Commission and obtaining a timely and acceptable transmission interconnection agreement from regional grid operator Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO).
