Turbine OEM Vestas secured a 294MW order from Enel Green Power for two wind farms in South Africa.
The Danish group will deliver V136-4.2 MW turbines, operating in 4.2MW power-optimised mode, for the Italian group’s Karusa and Soetwater projects in the Western Cape, each of 147MW. The deal marks the debut of the model in the South African market and includes a five-year service agreement, Vestas said.
