Latin America will continue to look to renewable energy to complement hydropower supply through 2050, keeping the region among the most promising for solar and onshore wind, according to a report by consultancy DNV GL.
The report, Energy Transition Outlook 2018, suggests that Latin America will more than triple power generation by 2050 to reach almost 5000TWh/year from the present 1500TWh/yr.
