Orsted signed up DEME-unit GeoSea to install foundations and turbines at its 752MW Borssele 1&2 offshore wind farm in Dutch waters, with VanOord handed the inter-array cable installation deal.

The wind farm – in water depths of 14-36 metres 23km offshore – will be built in 2020.

GeoSea will transport and install the 94 monopile foundations and 8MW Siemens Gamesa turbines to be used at Borssele 1&2, which Orsted secured in a Dutch government auction in July 2016.
