Swedish floating wind pioneer SeaTwirl has inked a deal to supply electricity to Norwegian regional utility Haugaland Kraft using its first 1MW S2 unit, which is slated to be moored offshore in 2020.
Several possible sites off Haugesund, on the west coast of Norway, are being scoped out for the installation, with one location seen as “well suited” to deployment of the floating unit.
