French cabling contractor Nexans has landed the €35m ($40.2m) job of supplying the land export line for the 860MW Triton Knoll wind farm being built off the UK by developer Innogy.
The order, signed by lead contractor J Murphy & Sons, will see Nexans deliver a 57km-long high voltage alternating current (HVAC) cable to link the project’s offshore export line’s landfall point, near Anderby in Lincolnshire, to a new substation, being constructed at Bicker Fen.
