Poland’s eagerly-awaited 1GW onshore wind and solar auction will take place on 5 November, the country’s energy regulator said.

The auction – which is expected to be dominated by wind projects – is seen as kick-starting development in the central European nation after several years of policy-induced stagnation.

Projects will compete for 15-year deals, with wind projects capped at a maximum price of 350 zloty per MWh ($94.2/MWh)
