Vestas notched up more than 500MW of turbine orders in the US and Canada to add to a flurry of deals from the Americas in the final days of the financial third quarter.
The Danish OEM secured a 356MW firm order from MidAmerican Energy for V110-2.0 MW turbines for the Wind XI project, the 2GW, multi-phase Iowa mega-project for which Vestas is supplying the majority of the capacity.
