Poland won't hold an offshore wind tender in 2019 – as had been expected by the industry for some time – and is instead considering direct support for projects at an advanced stage of development, a senior government official told Recharge.

“Next year for sure there will be no offshore wind tender,” Andrzej Kazmierski, director for renewable and distributed energy at the Polish ministry of energy, said in an interview on the sidelines of the Global Wind Summit in Hamburg.
