Siemens Gamesa (SGRE) has sealed deals with German developer Wpd, Spain’s Brial and an unnamed major energy company for the supply of 233MW in wind turbines spread across eight projects in Spain’s Zaragoza and Valladolid regions allocated in recent auctions.
The OEM said it will install, operate and maintain all projects.
The majority of the blades for these turbines will be made at the Aoiz factory in Navarre, the As Samozas factory in Galicia and the Moroccan facility in Tangier.
