UK utility SSE is buying-out Fluor’s 50% share in Scotland’s Seagreen offshore wind development ahead of entering up to 1.5GW in the UK’s next support auction – but left the door open for a new partner to come on board.

SSE will pay the US EPC group £118m ($155m) for the half share it doesn’t already own of Seagreen Wind Energy, which is developing projects awarded as the UK Round 3 Firth of Forth zone.
