Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas will upgrade the 316MW global wind turbine portfolio of Swedish furniture retailer IKEA with a programme aiming at an average 1.5% additional annual energy production estimated at a total of 13.5 gigawatt hours a year.
With the ‘PowerPlus’ programme, Vestas says it can increase a wind power plant’s energy production and efficiency through site-specific optimisation of operational parameters, implementation of intelligent software algorithms or enhanced aerodynamic performance.
