Construction work has begun on Northland Power’s 269MW Deutsche Bucht offshore wind project in the North Sea.
Northland Power, the Canada-based generator that has transitioned into a significant global offshore wind player, installed the project’s first of 31 steel foundations.
Dutch contractor Van Oord will be responsible for manufacturing and installing the monopiles and transition pieces for the wind farm.
