Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas plans to close an assembly factory its 2MW wind turbines in León, Spain, to sustain its competitiveness in the European market that increasingly demands larger machines.
The plant closure will affect all of its 362 employees, for which the OEM is trying to find jobs at other Vestas locations in Spain, or outside the company.
