Renewables are coming back into favour in Poland after the June 2018 amendment to the Renewable Energy Sources (RES) Act. It includes brighter prospects for onshore wind, though measures taken so far will have only a short-term effect on added megawatts. The changes fall short of industry expectations after a two-year period of almost complete standstill that followed the introduction of a strict 10-times-tip-height (10H) distance rule from the nearest housing.
