Start-up renewables developer Seventus whose majority owner is Suzlon has acquired the Jawbone Wind Projects totaling 235MW nameplate capacity in the US state of Montana from Irish energy group Gaelectric.

Terms of the transaction were not made public.

The first Jawbone project phase will be 80MW and utilize 38 Suzlon S111 turbines. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2019.

Suzlon, formerly the number four OEM in the US, has not installed a turbine there since 2012.
