Quebec-based renewables company Innergex posted strong second quarter financial results as it continues to aggressively expand through project acquisitions in the Americas and in France.

Net income was $16.78m, or $0.09 per share, versus $13.93m, or $0.12 per share, a year earlier, while revenue soared 37% to $149.54m.

The improved results were "in large part influenced by the facilities recently acquired or commissioned together with improved performance especially at our wind farms in Quebec," the company said in a statement.
