Bangkok-listed Banpu Power has made its first wind investment in Vietnam with an 80MW project, the company said.
Banpu has received an Investment Registration Certificate from the authorities for the first 30MW phase of the wind farm in Soc Trang province, which the Thai power-producer hopes to bring into service by 2020.
The remaining two stages are due to begin operation the following year, the company told investors in an update.
