China installed 7.94GW of wind turbines in the first half of 2018, a 30% year-on-year growth, and is doing better at controlling curtailment, latest government statistics show.

The new turbines took China to a total capacity of 171.6GW, according to the half-year report of the National Energy Administration (NEA) released on Tuesday.
