US utility Avangrid said it remains on course to hit its 2018 earnings guidance, despite a drag on the first half of the year from lower output from its turbine fleet and transmission issues at two wind farms.

Avangrid, controlled by Spanish renewables giant Iberdrola and one of the largest US wind owners, posted earnings from its renewables operation of $121m at the half-year stage, compared to $100m for the first six months of 2017.
