The Supreme Court in the Midwestern state of Missouri has ruled that regulators were wrong to reject the Grain Belt Express transmission project, designed to bring 4GW of wind power from Kansas to eastward population centers, in a significant victory for developer Clean Line Energy Partners.
A year ago Missouri’s Public Service Commission rejected Grain Belt because of a controversial legal precedent in the state regarding county-level approvals for transmission projects.
