Danish wind OEM Vestas has notched up the first order for its V126-3.45 MW machine in China.
Vestas signed a deal for 20 of the turbines, operating in 3.6MW Power Optimised Mode and totaling 72MW, for an unnamed customer in the country.
The order is the second for Vestas’ 4MW platform in China, which the manufacturer claimed is beginning to gather “momentum in the traditionally 2 MW-dominated Chinese market” as the country shifts to more powerful machines.
