The ‘10MW+’ turbine under development by a Senvion-led consortium will in fact be a 12MW+ model designed to spur “a swift evolution towards 14-16MW rated capacities”, EU project documents seen by Recharge reveal.

Senvion is heading a European Commission-backed project consortium called ReaLCoE to develop a next-generation demonstration turbine as the focus of its plans for commercial deployment of a super-sized offshore wind model.
