UK utility SSE said it is “open” to taking its renewable energy business into new markets beyond its heartland in Britain and Ireland, as it gears up for a period of transition in its own business and the wider industry.
SSE – which has about 2GW of operating onshore wind in the UK and Ireland, and a developing offshore wind operation – signaled a willingness to look further afield as it unveiled final results for the financial year ending March.
