French energy player Engie has signed a deal with Spanish company Forestalia, France’s Mirova, and US group GE, to develop 300MW of wind energy in Spain.

The nine subsidy-free wind farms were awarded at the first Spanish renewable generation auction in 2016, Engie said.

The shareholders of the project are Mirova, with a 51% interest, GE with a 25% share, Engie with 15% and Forestalia with 9%.
