Poland’s state-controlled power group PGE will scale back its role in nuclear development to focus on offshore wind, according to reports which if confirmed would be another boost to the prospects for turbines off the country’s coasts.
PGE has been heavily involved in plans for Poland’s first nuclear plant and offshore wind development, but has now chosen to prioritise the latter, according to the Reuters news agency citing unnamed sources in the Polish government.
