The US wind industry is steaming into what looks to be its busiest and most hectic two-year stretch ever in 2019-20, putting intense pressure on a supply chain that must simultaneously brace for a market contraction in the early 2020s.

Developers that qualified projects and components for the full production tax credit (PTC) in 2016 have until the end of 2020 to build those wind farms, but the timeline for many big projects keeps getting pushed out.
