UK-based Seajacks has won a contract to install 20 Siemens Gamesa 6MW turbines at the second phase of the 120MW Formosa 1 wind project, Taiwan’s first large-scale offshore wind array.

Seajacks will be installing the turbines for Formosa 1 – jointly owned by Denmark’s Orsted, Taiwanese developer Swancor Renewables and Macquarie Capital – in around 30 metres of water, up to 6km off the west coast of Miaoli district in north-west Taiwan.
