Spain’s first no-subsidy wind power will advance using GE turbines after the European Investment Bank (EIB) and a group of commercial lenders backed the development of 300MW at a complex of nine wind farms.

The projects in the Aragon region will be built by local developer Forestalia Renovables, in conjunction with fellow shareholders GE Energy Financial Services, French energy group Engie and investment bank Natixis.
