The investment outlook for European wind power is “strong” up to 2020 amid a “settling down” of auction systems in major markets, said industry body WindEurope as it unveiled data showing a total of €51.2bn ($63.4bn) was pumped into the sector on the continent last year.
The 2017 total – representing a 9% year-on-year rise – includes €22.3bn spent on development of new wind projects.
