Germany’s Innogy has completed a key early phase of its 860MW Triton Knoll project off eastern England, using the geotechnical drilling vessel Fugro Scout to test drill at locations where offshore monopile foundations will be installed in 2019.

The Fugro Scout, operated out of ABP’s port of Immingham on the Humber, carried out a three week programme of test drilling at the locations of the 90 turbine foundations and two offshore substations, some 32km off the coast of Lincolnshire.
