India is on course to exceed the 60GW target for domestic wind power capacity installed ahead of the government’s 2022 deadline, predicts the Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association (IWTMA).

“At the current rate, the Indian wind industry is on course to add around 30GW of new capacity in the next three years, thereby taking the cumulative total capacity to around 60GW by fiscal year 2021,” says IWTMA chairman Tulsi Tanti.
