Denmark’s Vestas has signed an agreement with India’s Powerica for work on the 50MW Bhatel wind farm in the Gujarat state.
Under the deal, with an undisclosed value, Vestas will supply its V120-2.2 MW turbines for Powerica’s project, which was awarded as part of the state-level wind power auction in Gujarat concluded in December 2017.
The V120-2.2 MW is latest extension of Vestas' 2MW platform, making the order another step forward for one of the most widely installed platforms in the history of wind energy, according to the company.
