The UK offshore wind industry has unrolled its blueprint for a “transformative” sector deal with government that would put the fast-emerging sector at the heart of Britain’s energy transition, with ambitions to create 27,000 skilled jobs, cut total electricity system costs by a £2.4bn ($3.66bn) per year, invest £48bn in infrastructure and boost exports fivefold to £2.6bn annually by 2030.
