India’s latest wind power auction saw winning bids fall no lower than 2.85 rupees/kWh ($0.044/kWh) marking the first significant uptick in prices since the country began competitive tenders for the renewable source last year.

Two developers lodged bids at that level in the western Indian state of Maharashtra’s auction for 500MW of capacity, with all other winners coming in higher, reported the Economic Times.
