Mexico is preparing to fast-track the processing of authorisations and permits for renewable energy projects, and increase clarity for consultation with local and indigenous communities, the head of the federal government’s clean energy department, Efraim Villanueva told Recharge.
“Wind power has developed very fast and we have identified the challenges and learned along the way, making improvements every tender,” he said during the Mexico Windpower 2018 industry event.
