Danish energy group Orsted confirmed it is in exclusive discussions regarding a 50% divestment of its 1.2GW Hornsea 1 offshore wind project off the UK’s North Sea coast.
The company said it reacted to media speculation with confirmation of its concrete sell-down plans. Orsted already in its 2017 annual report had announced its intention to halve its stake in the giant offshore project either in the second half of this year or in 2019.
