Votorantim Energia, the electric power arm of Grupo Votorantim, the Brazilian industrial and financial conglomerate, along with its partner Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), have started commercial operation at the 206MW Ventos do Piauí wind complex in the North-eastern state of Piauí.
Total investment in the project was R$1.1bn ($340m) since construction started in 2016. The complex was built with 98, 2.1MW
