Spain's Forestalia has identified 1.8GW worth of wind energy projects in the country that could benefit from the conditions of the renewables auction held last May.
The developer said it has informed the Ministry of Industry of the locations for 51 wind projects, all located in the autonomous community of Aragon. They have a combined capacity of over 1.2GW - the capacity Forestalia won at last year’s auction - as the rules of the tender allow for a nomination exceeding the capacity awarded by up to 50%, Forestalia said.
