WindEurope sees 350MW of floating offshore by 2021

WindEurope expects 350MW of floating wind capacity to be installed in Europe by 2021 across 10 projects, the industry body’s offshore wind analyst Tom Remy said.

“The countries where we can expect projects are the UK, France, Portugal and Norway I guess,” Remy said at a webinar.

“There is a WindFloat project in Portugal to be commissioned in 2019 as well, (and) we are expecting to have more and more projects planned in floating offshore.”
